We have been conducting the following avenues of research using amphibians:
(1) Endocrine disruption by environmental contaminants; (2) Predator-induced phenotypic plasticity━━morphological, behavioral and genetic responses in tadpoles; (3) Production of amphibians by transgenesis and CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome engineering as a tool for analyzing specific gene functions; (4) Metabolomic approach for identifying and visualizing molecular tissue markers by mass spectrometry imaging; (5) Production of polyploid amphibians for use in clarifying evolutionary mechanisms; (6)Effects of hypergravity and magnetic fields on tadpoles; (7) The role of reactive oxygen species in apoptosis.
